Daycare Program Offered at Child Development Center
The Stickney Township Child Development Center, located at 6721 W. 40th
Street in the Village of Stickney, provides a full educational curriculum
and is dedicated to providing quality childcare and programming for its
preschoolers. The Center accepts potty-trained children 30 months through
5 years of age in both a subsidized and full-pay capacity.
The subsidized program is funded in part by the Illinois Department of Human
Services and is geared toward providing employed low-income families with affordable
child care. To qualify for the subsidy, parent(s) must be working full-time (25
hours per week minimum) and fall within the income and eligibility guidelines
established by IDHS.
Tuition is assessed on a sliding scale based on yearly household gross income
and family size. For example, a family of four with a monthly gross income
of $2,887.00 would pay $43.00 per week for full-time day care for one child.
Families who do not qualify for the subsidy have the option of enrolling in the
Center’s full-pay program, which is currently $131.00 per week per child
3-5 years of age and $160.05 per week per child 30-35 months of age.
The Day Care center is open M- F, 6 am to 6 pm. For further information contact
Director, Linda Hinker, or Cheryl Plecki, Assistant Director at 708.788.8122.
